Making a difference

General MacArthur signs surrender terms
Together, we’re making a difference

We’re often asked “how do you measure success or victory in the struggle against radical Islam?”

Given the nature of this war, there won’t be a definitive surrender ceremony aboard an aircraft carrier, like what took place when America defeated Japan in World War II.

But here’s one concrete example of how ACT! for America is successfully pushing back against radical Islam—of how, together, we’re making a difference.
In the spring we led the grassroots effort to get “American Laws for American Courts” (ALAC) passed in Kansas. Our efforts generated over 30,000 emails and phone calls to Kansas state legislators—a staggering amount for a state the size of Kansas.

This outpouring demonstrates the growing power of ACT! for America and our grassroots citizen action network, which now has over 250,000 members and 750 chapters!
But the real impact of this Kansas victory became apparent in September, when a Kansas judge refused to apply sharia law in a court case—and specifically referred to ALAC as a reason why.

To our knowledge this was a first—the first time our efforts to enshrine ALAC in state law resulted in such a judicial decision.

This is a measurable, concrete victory. An identifiable firewall against radical Islam and sharia law. And one we plan on repeating in state after state after state.

And with your continued help and support, we will!
As 2012 comes to a close, if you are considering making one or more year-end contributions to non-profit organizations, would you please include ACT! for America on your list?

It takes a lot of hard work, time, money and perseverance to build a national network of chapter leaders and volunteers. There’s a reason so few organizations attempt it and even fewer succeed. Because it isn’t easy to do.

But as our growing list of achievements and successes demonstrate, the rewards are worth the effort. And every monthly Patriot Partner gift and Contributing Member gift helps make these successes possible.

So as 2012 winds down, and we look forward to building on our momentum in 2013, we extend a heartfelt “thank you” to every one of our members, every chapter leader, every volunteer, every person who has signed up for the iGive program, and every financial supporter.
