The systematic stripping of security protection from the
Benghazi mission prior to the 9/11 anniversary attack and the cold-blooded
refusal to send or even permit local help the night of the attack.

In other words, the Kuwaiti
democracy has been a formal and ineffective one. The Kuwaiti constitution

Ever since President Obama took
office, the idea of a grand bargain with Iran has occupied his mind, and
still today he believes the Islamic regime will be kind to him and
negotiate. He is woefully mistaken.
What did Stevens mean by
"difficult"? What obstacle to what path did he have in mind?
Americans will make bad Muslims
and Muslims will make bad Americans. The only restraint on the use of
American power is a cultural tolerance that Islam would sweep away.

To attempt to understand
Christopher Stevens' long-standing interest in ben Qumu, the al Qaeda
terrorist suspected of leading the Benghazi attack in which Stevens and 3
other Americans were murdered, we must seek context in more of Stevens'
cables.
